Since their arrival at Luv A Chin Rescue, every dog has been loved and nurtured in a dedicated foster home, not a Shelter. Because we specialize in giving each dog time and the individual attention they need, our experienced foster parents are able to assess each dog’s unique personality, socialization skills, and specific needs. If you are ready to open your heart and home, the first step is to fill out our adoption application completely and submit it. Please remember that we are not a first-come, first-served rescue. Our commitment is to find the best match for each dog’s long-term needs, and we thoroughly review every application to ensure this perfect pairing.
You will receive an email confirmation once your application is submitted (please check your spam folder!). After we have reviewed all incoming applications, we will advise all applicants of their status.
SAKI & SHOJI (a bonded pair)
Age: Saki – 8, Shoji – 3
Breed: Japanese Chin
Location: Savannah, Georgia
Saki and Shoji
Saki is the mom, 8 years old and about 12 pounds. Her tail never stops wagging! She loves everyone and everything. She is a gentle, joyful girl.
Shoji is Saki’s baby boy, he is 3 years old and a chubby 15+ pounds. Shoji is very sweet and loving and very attached to both his mom and his foster mom. He is a very devoted companion.
Both pups LOVE pretty much everything. They love getting out & about, car rides, “sniffari” walks (Saki especially likes to amble and sniff; Shoji does too, but he can also walk at a good pace which is good for his weight loss plan). They are mellow much of the time, but they also love playing with each other. They love adventure; they are ok left home alone but preferably not for long periods of time; they would much rather go where you are going. Saki and Shoji are very people oriented and are great with other dogs. They have not been around kids but would probably be fine with dog savvy children. Both are fully house trained. **A FENCED YARD IS REQUIRED** Approved adopter must be able to travel to Savannah, GA to pick up the dogs.
HEALTH: Both are up to date on vaccines, have been spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and on flea and HW preventative. Both had recent dental cleanings. Saki has had some issues with crystals in her urine, so she does need to be on a Urinary Tract prescription diet.
Adoption fee for the pair is $700. These two are gems!
